Transitions - Mental Health Association (T-MHA) is seeking a volunteer to join its Fundraising Committee. This position is unpaid and requires a long-term commitment.

The committee meets seasonally in preparation for two fundraising events: our Bowl-a-Thon (March) and Trunks of Treasure (October).

Volunteers on our Fundraising Committee have a background in fundraising, have a finger on the pulse of the San Luis Obispo community, and have experience interacting with local businesses and individuals. Our committee members have a high level of organizational and time management skills; self-motivated with the ability to work in an autonomous environment. They have strong interpersonal skills and oral/written communication skills; and the ability to deal effectively with a variety of people and personality types regardless of ethnic, racial, religious background or socio-economic level.

We are looking for committee members who are inspired to help us with our passion: eliminating stigma and promoting recovery and wellness for people with mental illness. Applicants who have experience with mental illness in their lives are encouraged to apply.

Applicants should be proficient in:
- Microsoft Excel
- Databases (such as DonorPerfect)
- Tasks such as coordinating event-related pickups, contacting vendors, and interacting with committee members to execute plans

Additionally, applicants are encouraged to submit an application if they fit the following requirements:
- Ability to commit to a long-term role
- A reliable vehicle to attend various meetings and events
- A background in fundraising

Transitions-Mental Health Association (TMHA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to eliminating stigma and promoting recovery and wellness for people with mental illness through work, housing, community and family support services.

We operate 30 programs at over 35 locations in San Luis Obispo and North Santa Barbara counties.
