The extra ,huge,TALL TRIPOD is a big deal. Look at the photos. The stock tripod is great,it has a crank to fine-tune the height adjustment but it is barley 18" tall. That's "good enough" for most tile guys.
The 6ft+tall tripod is an expensive game changer. You can dial-in a line with eye-level as your focus. That's exactly where any mistakes are most noticeable.It's good to have both to assist you when laying tile but also to demonstrate corner and wall defects of a wall to a customer before you start. You can also use it to show them how accurate your tile placement is ,once you've completed the job. If you have the correct tool,it's easy to do perfectly aligned tile work - and enjoy showing it off !
Why is this important ? I was doing epoxy thinset work (don't ask why but it pays really well!) . There are no second chances or adjustments with epoxy. With this Laser setup I was able to place the tiles spot on first time,every time. You too !
