We are seeking a talented and driven Content Creator to support the development of high-quality photo and video content that reflects VANNON as a leader in performance-driven adventure vans. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creativity, consistency, and executing a clean, premium visual aesthetic.
This a Content Creator position and NOT a Content Marketer position. We will only consider candidates with relevant examples of high-quality photo and video content that shows your skills and experience.
Responsibilities:
Content Creation
- Capture and produce high-quality photo and video content for vans, products, and brand storytelling.
- Shoot and edit full van tours (short and long-form).
- Create feature highlights and detailed build walkthroughs.
Product & Instructional Content
- Produce product demos and clean, professional product showcases.
- Create before-and-after installation content.
- Develop installation videos, how-to guides, and customer education content.
Social Media & Brand Content
- Create short-form video for platforms such as Instagram and YouTube.
- Capture behind-the-scenes content and build progress.
- Develop quick tips and lifestyle-driven content aligned with the VANNON brand.
Graphics & Technical Content
- Create dimension overlays and layout diagrams.
- Develop feature callouts and comparison visuals.
Internal Content (SOP)
- Document step-by-step installation processes.
- Create workflow and process content for internal team use.
Expectations
- Maintain a consistent output of high-quality content aligned with VANNON’s brand standards.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in photo and video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Lightroom, Photoshop, After Effects preferred).
- Be comfortable capturing both photo and video, including basic audio recording.
- Bring creative direction while effectively executing on team guidance.
- Understand and deliver a premium, clean, and intentional visual aesthetic.
- Stay current with social media trends and apply them appropriately.
- Maintain an efficient workflow to meet monthly content goals.
- Communicate clearly and consistently regarding progress and deliverables.
- Track time accurately and submit monthly reports outlining completed work.
Compensation Structure
- Retainer: TBD
- Guaranteed minimum of 10 hours per week at the VANNON facility. You must be local to the San Luis Obispo area and we will NOT consider fully remote candidates.
- Additional hours beyond 40 per month compensated at a TBD hourly rate.
- Monthly invoicing required.
- Contractor must track and submit hours along with a summary of completed work.
Equipment & Content Management
- Contractor can provide their own camera gear, editing equipment, and software. However, we do have tools available for use on-site.
- VANNON will provide access to vans, products, and existing media assets.
- All content must be stored on a secure RAID storage system.
- Contractor is responsible for organizing, labeling, and archiving all content.
- Maintain a clean, professional, and scalable folder structure for long-term access.
