Position Overview
UTP and Fiber Optic Installer is responsible for executing structured cabling, rack installation, and physical infrastructure setup in data center environments. This role represents a skilled installation professional capable of delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
This role is 100% indoor, based in data center environments. No outdoor, aerial, or underground fiber work is required.
The Installer plays a critical role in preparing racks, cabling systems, and infrastructure for testing, activation, and network deployment.

Core Responsibilities
• Execute fiber optic and structured cabling installations according to company and client standard
• Perform cable routing, dressing, securing, and rack organization in data center environments
• Install and position equipment racks, cabinets, and related infrastructure
• Perform rack assembly, mounting, and alignment
• Support basic power connection activities (rack-level, pre-configured systems) in compliance with safety guidelines
• Install and organize patch panels, fiber enclosures, and related infrastructure
• Ensure proper labeling and identification of all installed components
• Maintain clean, organized, and compliant rack layouts (data center standards)
• Support installation preparation for testing and commissioning activities
• Identify and report installation issues or inconsistencies
• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures
• Work across multiple project sites and client environments
• Support Helpers and provide guidance on installation tasks
