We’re a laid-back, community-focused surf shop located right in the heart of Cayucos. We offer beach rentals, fishing tackle, and coastal-inspired clothing. Our shop serves both locals and visitors looking to enjoy everything the Central Coast has to offer.
Position Overview:
We’re looking for a friendly, reliable team member to join our crew! This role is perfect for someone who enjoys the beach lifestyle, likes working with people, and can stay organized in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist customers with rentals (surfboards, boogie boards, wetsuits, etc.)
Help customers select fishing tackle and clothing
Operate the register and handle transactions
Set up and maintain rental equipment
Keep the shop clean, stocked, and organized
Provide great customer service and local recommendations
Requirements:
Availability on weekends and holidays (required)
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and stay organized
Comfortable working in a casual, sometimes busy environment
Interest in surfing, fishing, or beach culture is a plus
Must be dependable and punctual
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Preferred (but not required):
Previous retail or customer service experience
Fishing and/or surfing experience is a huge plus
Knowledge of local surf conditions or fishing gear
