Here is what I’ve got into this and how it could be split up
Costs:
Sink and appurtenances $200
Bluetti EB70 with solar panel $650
Iceco Fridge with slider tray $800
Sprinter 2 person seat $900
Misc supplies to build furniture $200
Total is $2,750
Asking $2,500
This project started 4 years ago and has been refined to a quiet, simple weekender style set up for up to 4 people. The Bluetti power system charges while you drive or deploy the solar panel for 3-4 hours and recharge. The fridge will chew through the 800 watts in almost 3 days without using one side as a freezer. About a day and a half if one side of the fridge is set to freezer temp. the sink uses very little energy.
The bed can be set up by one person, but two always makes it easier. The design was meant to make the back space totally useable while not camping. The 2 person rear seat is simple to remove, but heavy. Have someone nearby to help. It is Mercedes built but modified to remove the third seat. The sink has a pump that draws from a large bottle inside the cabinet. There is a matching gray water bottle that is easy to remove and dump (responsibly).
Everything was designed to use the Mercedes OEM mounting bolts so this is a no-drill installation. I could most likely switch it over to your van in about an hour.
Happy to meet up to show how it all works. I’d part it out at the amounts shown above. An OEM crew van seat swap could drop the asking price by $500, depending on year and condition. My van is a 2021 so I’d be looking for the seat with the tilting backrests, 2019 to present.
I started this build with a 2018 crew van and nothing changed when I moved it into a 2021, except for the seat brackets. They are for the OEM floor mounting in 2019 to present model crew vans. With some structural research, I believe the seat brackets could be relocated but I’m currently using the OEM mounting points.
