We have 2 Potbelly Pigs nearing the 1 year old mark and are giving them away.
Their story: They're two nice female Juliana potbelly pigs. They are sisters. They are not fixed. So, they can have babies if they are around males, though they never have had any piglets, nor been around any male pigs to this point. We fed them by hand when they were babies, and spent lots of time with them in their enclosure everyday. So they're used the company of humans. There are a lot of animals around here on our property and I've never seen them be aggressive to any of them. In fact, our cat is often seen in their enclosure and they don't mind him. There was one time when our neighbors dog was on the loose and came to the fence and was barking at them aggressively and they didn't take to that very kindly. They both stood up for themselves at least and their hair stood up on their backs and they both barked back at the dog several times. It was more like a ruff ruff gorilla grunt, but I'm sure they were just feeling protective over themselves and eachother.
Well that's the gist of the story. They are just a lot bigger than we expected and I also don't have a lot of time to spend with them anymore. They deserve a more fulfilling life in a nice environment with more room to run around and explore etc.
We'll miss them...
