I am an experienced amateur rider, have ridden just about every discipline (dressage, jumping, barrel racing, pole bending, cross country eventing, trails, green horses etc). I have excellent horsemanship skills, I know how to handle almost anything. If you are looking to go away, need some work done around the farm or just for someone to exercise/train your horse look no further!
I recently graduated from Cal Poly with a BS in animal science and a minor in equine science. I rode on the top level position for Cal Poly's Dressage Team two years in a row and have been very successful in the IDA shows, winning high point and first place multiple times. We are also the region champions and competed at Nationals the past two years. I was also a student in equine breeding and Cal Poly's Foaling Enterprise, we were in charge of 26 mares pre and post parturition and halter breaking the foals.
I was a working student with an extremely knowledgeable and experienced horse woman in Canada for a few years. I used to ride people's horses for them at a big boarding facility up in Langley and was showing a young horse in Dressage getting very good marks consistently in high 60s and 70s, always placing in the ribbons. When I owned my own horse I trained her up to 4th/Prix St George level in 2 years myself. I have experience trimming horses feet, clipping horses, braiding, lots of farm work experience including tractor and machinery work. I was a barn manager, I did all the feedings and cleaning stalls etc. I have also made plenty of horse sale videos. I have experience working with lots of other animals as well. Have helped birth horses, goats, sheep and dogs.
People call on me for occasional barn work, horse training and pet/house sitting when they go away. Plenty of references. Price varies upon job but very fair about money and pricing. Let me know what you need done and I'll help you out!
