The iconic solid-state tape echo! These tape echos sound fantastic delivering a sweet, warm delay that can only be captured with tape. The Echoplex is a tape delay effects unit, first made in 1959. This sound device has set the standard for musical performance effects during past years and is still regarded as "The standard by which everything else is measured." The EP-3 enjoyed the longest production run of all the Echoplex models, being manufactured from 1970 until 1991. Original Echoplexes are highly sought after.
