1940s Dickerson Student Model Lap Steel in Good to Very Good condition. Barely a mark on it anywhere, with the exception of a few small nicks in the fretboard area and a little bit of pitting in the chrome in the lower cover plate that I tried to show in the photos. Most of the green felt is intact on the back.
The guitar is all original, including the electronics. I cleaned the contacts from the volume knob to the output jack, and though the volume knob is occasionally a little touchy, it cranks right up and the volume holds steady and sounds nice playing through my Fender Princeton Chorus amp.
At just 29" long, it's a small thing. But it sits comfortably in your lap; and the short scale length makes it fun to play quick runs and licks.
The guitar includes its original chipboard case -- which is admittedly a little road-worn, but the latches work well and the leather hinges are fastened solidly to the body and top of the case.
