ABOUT THE ROLE
This role focuses on the stewardship and execution of Cloacina’s email and social media marketing programs within a B2B environment characterized by long sales cycles and relationship-driven engagement.
The position is designed for someone who can work independently, apply sound judgment, and manage day-to-day digital marketing activities with consistency and intent. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and improving email campaigns, and extending that work into social channels. You’ll also help ensure new marketing assets are shared effectively and appropriately.
This role works closely with marketing leadership on planning and priorities, with autonomy to own day-to-day execution.
In addition to core marketing responsibilities, this role includes a willingness to contribute to light administrative or operational tasks related to marketing programs and coordination when bandwidth allows. This is part of how we work as a team and maintain momentum across the organization.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Plan, execute, and refine the email marketing program in collaboration with marketing leadership
• Plan email content and schedules within defined program intent
• Build, schedule, and send email campaigns using Mailchimp
• Track, interpret, and report on email performance metrics
• Maintain quality and accuracy without requiring constant oversight
• Extend email content into social media channels, especially LinkedIn and Facebook
• Ensure new assets (videos, case studies, project summaries, etc.) are shared appropriately through digital marketing channels
• Collaborate on planning, prioritization, and continuous improvement of the program
SUPPORTING/LEAN-TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support internal documentation, reporting, and coordination as needed
• Work comfortably across tools like Word and Excel to support planning, tracking, and communication
• Pitch in on operational or administrative tasks when required to keep work moving
MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
• Familiarity with B2B digital marketing, including long sales cycles and awareness-focused goals
• Experience owning or co-owning an email marketing program in a B2B environment
• Comfortable working with established systems while helping refine and improve them over time
• Comfortable making decisions with intent and discussing tradeoffs and rationale
• Comfortable planning content and schedules within defined intent
• Moderate to advanced understanding of social media platforms for B2B marketing, especially LinkedIn and Facebook
• Moderate understanding of email and social media analytics
• Steady, self-directed, and not easily overwhelmed
• Brings a collaborative, team-first mindset
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience extending email content into social media
• Familiarity with Mailchimp
• Experience running sponsored posts or ads on LinkedIn and/or Facebook
• Familiarity with the manufacturing and/or wastewater industry
• Basic graphic design or photo editing skills
• Familiarity with Squarespace website editing
• Comfort using AI tools to support content creation or light coding/problem-solving

• This role is open to remote candidates, including international applicants
• A hybrid option is available for candidates local to Arroyo Grande, California, with flexible in-office days
• Strong written and spoken English communication is required

Workers can be exposed through contact with wastewater, aerosols containing pathogens, or contaminated equipment. Wastewater treatment processes also involve the use of various chemicals, some of which can be toxic or corrosive. It is imperative that employees wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols. While not mandatory, it is also highly recommended that employees stay current with vaccinations, including Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Tetanus, and Diphtheria.
