It all started when my friend's family stayed over for the weekend. I went to sleep around 9:00 and my friend's family was still awake and outside. During the night my friend's dad went outside to smoke around 3:30 AM and never shut the door when he went outside.
My little Zoe went outside while the door was open and he didn't realize and closed the door when he was done smoking and went back inside. I woke up in the morning and immediately knew something was wrong when Zoe wasn't waiting at my bedroom door for me like she does every day and night.
I searched all around for her during the morning and waited until my friend's family was awake to search the rooms. Unfortunately, she was gone and my heart dropped. I cried the entire day and immediately started posting flyers, talking to neighbors, and joined this community for tips and help! I had Zoe since she was 6 weeks old and it ripped me to shreds to see her gone.
They were extremely helpful because pet owners were able to give great advice and support! They offered me tips to put her cat litter, favorite cat bed, wet foods, and shirts with my scent outside. People were sharing my scary story and were extremely supportive of helping me find my Zoe Bananas!
I searched every day and night calling her name trying to see if she would meow or follow my voice. After three days of the misery of having her gone, she jumped on her cat tower that I placed outside and I saw her immediately! I am so happy and grateful to have my Zoe back in my arms safe and unharmed.
I will recommend them to everyone I talk to. A lot of people have viewed, commented, and shared my posting and I am extremely grateful for it. It was great to have pet owners who have been through the same horrid situation give advice and hope to those struggling with the situation of losing a pet.
