Wine Harvest Intern (Paso Robles)

United Staffing Associates is recruiting for Wine Harvest Intern with a respected winery in Paso Robles.

Harvest Cellar Intern (Seasonal)

• Season runs approximately early September through November
• $19.00-$21.00/hour DOE
• Excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience during harvest.

Job Duties

• Receive, sort, crush, and press grapes
• Operate pumps, presses, and other cellar equipment
• Perform wine and juice transfers
• Clean and sanitize tanks, barrels, hoses, and production equipment
• Fill, top, and maintain barrels
• Collect wine and juice samples for quality control
• Support bottling and packaging operations
• Safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment
• Follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures
• Assist with additional cellar and harvest projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous winery, cellar, or production experience preferred
• Forklift experience is a plus
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment
• Reliable transportation required
• Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in confined spaces while following safety procedures

Schedule

• Shifts start as early as 6:00 AM
• Up to 6 days per week
• Overtime required during harvest and as production demands
