Production Operator I
Location: Paso Robles, CA
Pay Range: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, DOE
Schedule
Night Shift
10-hour shifts between 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Current schedule consists of either a 3/12 or 4/10 workweek
Overtime may be required based on production needs
Training will be conducted on the day shift for approximately three (3) months before transitioning to the night shift
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-conscious Production Operator I to join our manufacturing team in Paso Robles. This position is responsible for operating production equipment, following batch formulations, maintaining accurate production records, and ensuring all manufacturing processes are completed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial manufacturing or chemical processing environment and be committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and productivity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Follow batch sheet recipes and manufacturing instructions accurately.
Measure and charge appropriate raw material quantities into production equipment.
Complete all production paperwork thoroughly and accurately, including lot number and product documentation.
Pull batch samples for laboratory testing and make material additions as directed by Quality Control personnel.
Monitor production processes to ensure product quality and compliance with specifications.
Clean and sanitize bulk tankers, blending vessels, and production equipment according to company procedures.
Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and manufacturing protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Assist with equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and changeovers as needed.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, laboratory personnel, and fellow team members.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing, production, chemical plant, or related environment preferred.
Ability to read and follow written instructions, batch sheets, and SOPs.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Basic math and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable attendance and punctuality required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and move materials as required.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures, noise levels, and production demands.
Safety Requirements
Must be able to work safely around hazardous chemicals and manufacturing materials.
Required to consistently wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including:
Safety glasses and goggles
Face shields
Safety footwear
Chemical-resistant clothing and gloves
Dust masks
Half-face and full-face respirators
