Viborg Sand & Gravel is seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to lead crews and oversee a variety of construction projects, including paving, underground utilities, grading, demolition, excavation, and dirt work. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong field experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety, productivity, and quality workmanship.
Pay
$75,000–$95,000 per year (DOE)
Schedule
• Monday–Friday
• Typical hours: 7:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Additional hours as needed based on project demands
• Start and end each day at 1529 North River Road, Paso Robles, CA 93446
Responsibilities
• Lead and supervise construction crews on a variety of site work projects
• Coordinate daily activities and communicate with management, subcontractors, and customers
• Oversee underground utility installation, including water, sewer, and storm drain systems
• Manage paving, grading, excavation, dirt work, and site preparation operations
• Direct demolition activities and ensure projects are completed safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and grade stakes
• Schedule manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project goals
• Monitor productivity, quality, and job site safety
• Train and mentor crew members
• Operate and oversee heavy equipment as needed
Qualifications
• Previous experience as a Construction Foreman or similar leadership role
• Strong knowledge of paving, underground utilities, grading, excavation, demolition, and dirt work
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and grade stakes
• Experience operating excavators, loaders, skid steers, dozers, rollers, and related equipment
• Asphalt paving experience is preferred
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening
