Position Summary
The HR Administrator provides administrative support to the Human Resources department by assisting with recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, payroll support, and ensuring compliance with company policies and employment laws. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
Prepare and maintain employee personnel files and HR records.
Process new hire paperwork, terminations, and employment status changes.
Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding.
Assist with benefits enrollment and answer employee questions.
Support payroll by verifying employee information and time records.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Track employee training, certifications, and performance evaluations.
Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate databases.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures.
Schedule interviews, meetings, and employee training sessions.
Maintain confidentiality of all employee information.
Perform other HR and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business preferred.
2+ years of HR or administrative experience preferred.
Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with payroll processing.
Benefits administration experience.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) is preferred.
