Last year I put together a small grid tied solar system just to see if the technology was worth it and I was so happy with the results I ended up installing a larger 16 panel system on my roof.

I ended up selling the panels but have the following parts...
Five Renesola Micro Replus MicroInverters (Replus-250A)
One Renesola Micro Replus Gateway (MRG)
One cable with Micro Inverter connector
Manuals for the Renesola inverters and gateway

The microinverters were $150 each new and the gateway is another $100. Total this setup cost $850 new so it is a deal for a barely used system that has been tested and proven to work.

While I do not advocate un-permitted electrical, I know a guy who had this system backfeeding into a 15 Amp 240V breaker in their subpanel and the local utility was none the wiser. They got a bit of free power throughout the day but it nulled the houses loads for about 8 hours a day.
