Meet Pepper, an adorable and TINY mini-heifer. She'll be 2 years old in July. We have her genetic testing done, but no breeding papers. She'll be sold as is.
Bred in Colorado, Pepper was born in Cambria to our favorite milking cow (also a Mini Jersey-White Park cross). She is our smallest cow out of our mini-cattle herd and we hate to see her go.
In the photo of the calf and two cows, she is the little cow on the far right. I am including a photo of her when she was a calf, as well as a recent picture where our one-year-old is sitting on her (with support from his big sister).
Our kids have halter-broken her twice, although she's been out in a large pasture with the other non-lactating cows for the past four months and has resumed her feral ways. I have no doubt she can be halter-broken again. She has been exposed to our mini Zebu bull (the only bull small enough for her) but is NOT confirmed bred. Her mother is a good milker (2-3 gallons per day with wonderful cream), but I am not sure of her own capacity as she is so small. Our goal with her was a showpiece for ranch tourism, but we are no longer offering tours.
Price is non-negotiable as I am selling her only reluctantly!
