The Expeditor is the link between the kitchen staff and our guests. They are responsible for the smooth flow of orders and efficient delivery of service. They communicate with the Wine Educators, Private Client & Trade Specialists, and the Sous Chefs. They inspect the quality of the dishes served. Success in this role will be demonstrated by positive feedback from guests through timely and accurate order delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Maintains clear verbal communication with Chefs, Wine Educators, and management.
Monitors the quality and presentation of dishes before service.
Serves and presents food to guests while accurately explaining menu items and tasting room offerings.
Provides world-class customer service and addresses guest concerns professionally.
Ensures adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
Keeps service areas and floors clean and free of hazards, including broken glass, water, and debris.
Stocks wine, supplies, and service items consistently throughout service.
Washes, dries, and buffs all glassware, plates, flatware, and service utensils.
Transports supplies from storage as needed and communicates inventory or supply needs daily.
Assists team members as needed to support efficient service operations.
Supports the setup, execution, and breakdown of events.
Facilitates bottle and merchandise sales for guests.
Completes opening and closing checklists
About you
Must be at least 21 years old.
Able to complete multiple tasks with accuracy and urgency.
Prior experience working in a kitchen as a food expeditor or similar role.
Ability to react quickly in a high intensity environment, always maintaining a calm professional demeanor.
Proficient in English
Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
Available on weekends and holidays and can accommodate a shifting schedule.
Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs.

Compensation
Base Pay Hour rate ranges from $17.90 to $18.27 per hour based on experience, skills, role scope, location and business needs.
Incentive Pay: Eligible to participate in the Direct-To-Consumer Sales Incentive Plan (DSIP), offering varying compensation based on site performance. Incentive pay is not guaranteed.
Estimated on-target earnings (OTE) $23.27-$26.44 per hour based on base pay plus target DSIP at target performance (where applicable). Actual earnings vary based on site performance, hours worked, and role classification.
Tips: This role is eligible for tips. Tips are paid by the customers and vary by location, shift and customer volume. Tips are not guaranteed. Based on historical experience in some locations and shifts, tips have at times added in excess of 100% above base pay for some employees.
