We are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Engineer to join our growing construction team. This is a full-time position supporting both field and office operations for a fully integrated General Contractor performing public works, commercial, and government-related construction projects.
The ideal candidate will have a background in Construction Management, General Contracting, or an Engineering-related discipline, with experience supporting active construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
This position will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and owners to assist in the successful execution of multiple projects.
Responsibilities
Support Project Managers and Superintendents with day-to-day project operations
Assist with project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and material deliveries
Track schedules, procurement items, and project progress
Attend project meetings and assist with follow-up coordination
Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and quantity takeoffs
Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Support quality control and safety compliance efforts
Assist with project closeout documentation and punch list coordination
Maintain organized project records and communication logs
Qualifications
5–10 years of construction-related experience preferred
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field preferred
Equivalent field experience in General Contracting or construction operations will also be considered
Understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and project coordination
Ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively with field and office personnel
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction management software platforms
Experience with public works or government projects is a plus
Preferred Experience
General Contractor or self-perform construction experience
Field coordination experience
Exposure to estimating, scheduling, and project administration
Knowledge of subcontractor coordination and construction sequencing
