Please read the entire ad before contacting me. This is a nice and completely stock 1995 Honda Del Sol Si equipped with an automatic transmission. The car has very low mileage and I’m the second owner. In case you don’t know, the Del Sol is a somewhat rare model that Honda produced from 1993 to 1997. What makes it unique is its targa top, which is easily removed and stored in the trunk, effectively turning a hard-top coupe into a convertible. Even the back window goes down! These cars have jumped up in value in the past few years and examples with under 100K miles are rare. The cars manufactured from 1995 through 1997 are better than the earlier years because they solved the issue of leaking targa tops experienced in the pre 1995 years. This one has never leaked on me. The car runs great and just passed smog. I recently professionally reupholstered the seats because the originals that came from the factory looked cheap even when brand new. Very nice! It is a blast to drive with the top off and you still retain a HUGE trunk for such a small car. The 1.6 liter VTEC engine performs better than you might think, even with an automatic. The cabin is surprisingly roomy (I’m 6’3”) with ample leg and head room. This was important for me because I can’t fit in most two seaters. The car was underated when new, but enthusiasts are discovering these cars for the hidden gems they really are.
This car is very nice and the low miles is what makes it stand out. It has its share of parking lot dings and a small dent in the passenger rear quarter panel, but still very nice for its age. I had a paintless dent removal guy tell me he could remove all the imperfections, but at the time I wasn’t willing to spend the money. The paint is original and shines up nicely, but there are some minor scrapes and chips. The air bag light is on (common for Hondas of this vintage), the A/C needs a recharge and the cruise control is currently not functioning. Nothing that has affected the fun factor for me. The stereo is the stock Honda unit and works fine. The antenna is broken, but I have a replacement.
I checked Craigslist for a 1,000 mile radius. This is one of the nicer Del Sols currently available and it is by far the cheapest. All that to say, please don’t try to negotiate as I have priced the car below market already for a quick sale. I’m located on the Central Coast of CA in Arroyo Grande. Calls only, no texts and no solicitations to broker the sale of this car.
