We’re a small local hip-hop label in San Luis Obispo building a content engine for our flagship independent artist. If you’re a Cal Poly student who’s plugged into short-form culture and wants a real music-marketing portfolio piece, this is for you.
Format: 4–6 week sprint (option to extend)
Time: Self-directed, ~5–8 hrs/week (no set hours)
Location: SLO
What you’ll do (guided + collaborative)
- Edit short clips in CapCut (hooks, subtitles, pacing)
- Help package posts (caption options, sounds, hashtags, thumbnails)
- Organize raw footage + simple weekly content plan
- Bring 3–5 weekly trend/format ideas (hip-hop-native)
You’re a fit if you…
- Live on TikTok/IG and can explain why something works
- Can edit fast (clean > perfect)
- Are consistent + organized + down to experiment
What you’ll get
- A real music marketing case study you can use in interviews
- Access to behind-the-scenes moments/local shows/studio sessions
- Weekly feedback + mentorship on content strategy
Note: Artist handle + details shared after you apply (we’re keeping the public post generic).
