Antique Oriental Chinoisiere black lacquerware, paper mache folding shelf hand painted with elaborate details and fine gilt overlay. Circa 19th century. Standing samurai on left hand side, sitting samurai on right hand side, woman with caton left side of side board and archer on right side. Very good condition for its age. Was from grandmother's estate. Measures 8 1/2" tall by 7"wide. Shelf piece is 3" deep. All hinges in working condition. There are two holes at the top for attaching to a wall. Please refer to photos. From grandmother's estate.
