A pair of two Vintage French Louis XV Bergere Armchairs, estimated early 20th Century. The chairs were upholstered approximately 30 years ago; the fabric is not worn although it has aged. The fabric is a durable cream base with light pink and light blue accents. The wood is finished in medium walnut. The wood frame has floral carvings at the top center of the back and along the top edge of both front legs. The construction is solid and the chairs are comfortable for reading or entertaining or to be displayed. The seating dimensions are 21" deep x 26"1/2 wide. The chair back is 20" wide x 22" high. The chair height at the arm is 25" and the overall height at the back is 38" 1/2.
The condition of the wood frame and seating is excellent. The chair cushions may be lifted off and turned over for even wear.
