Fabulous, rare Porcelain statuette "Marquise" 1940's by artist Gustav Oppel, produced by the Rosenthal Porcelain manufacture in Germany. This exquisite Rococo Lady stands 8", base is 4"dameter. The piece is amazing! Her hands are perfect, realistic, the movement of her robe and dress is fascinating. Hand painted with great detail, colors are soft and feminine, delicately embellished on the hem and bodice, and a scattered starry pattern on her robe. Golden shoes and
gold touches perfectly detail her clothing. The Lady is in beautiful condition, no chips or cracks. Alas, her fan has been reattached professionally, and there is an adhesive (easily removable) on the bottom, from having been on a lamp base.
