Hello,
My name is Jeff and I live in Los Osos and consider Morro Bay my home as well. Just wanted to say SORRY ABOUT YOUR BAD EXPERIENCE IN MORRO BAY. That is a shame. I can tell you that I am a native Californian and have lived in several different parts of the state. The people in this special area are some of the nicest, kindest folks around.
Sounds to me like the police officer was simply doing his job. Maybe you can put yourself in his shoes and see the situation from all sides to get a better perspective. If you were a cop and you pulled someone over for driving at a dangerous speed, how would you respond to the excuse you offered? Did you know that he could also have ticketed you for a broken speedometer?
Last note- we have lots of pedestrians and cyclists in our towns so the speed limits are enforced to protect the safety of our guests like you...
