I'm in search of a loving home for my 3 year old Queensland Heeler "Chimay". My husband is in the Army and recently deployed. I enlisted a few months back and am heading off to basic training at the end of August and will be returning in February. It tears me apart but I have no one to care for her while I'm away, so I am looking for either a permanent home or a possible 'foster home' for her. We rescued her from the pound about a year and a half ago. She is very high strung as most queenslands are. We've taken her on numerous backpacking trips around the country and she is great on the trail. She is fixed, housebroken and a great guard dog. She gets very excited around other dogs so I would suggest she needs a home without other dogs unless you have the patience to give her time to adapt. I have a three year old daughter whom she is great with. She does nip at her heels occasionally but that is a typical queensland trait. We don't have any cats but she does like to chase after them if one comes in the yard. If you are interested or know someone that might be please contact me.
