Around the county, millions of animals are kept as household pets and members of the family; in San Luis Obispo County, dogs and cats enrich the lives of, and are companions to approximately sixty-four thousand families. Still, each year millions more homeless cats and dogs are euthanized in shelters around the country; 476 were euthanized in San Luis Obispo County in 2007. At the root of this problem is a simple fact: each year, more animals are born than there are homes for them.
Please consider providing a home for any of the many dogs currently at the Shelter- like....
Smitty a two year old male brindle Pit Bull Terrier
Roxy a one year old female white & brown Labrador Retriever Pit Bull mix
Jack a two year old male black & white English Pointer mix
Jonus a three old male black & red Chow Chow German Shepherd mix
