Job Title: Handbag Developer, Simple and UGG Brands
Location: Goleta, CA
Summary:
Responsible for the processing and project management of handbag development from 2D designs to final prototypes and sales samples. Will need to successfully turn the product brief, needs of the brand, and the end consumer, into a sample that can be profitably commercialized.
Main Responsibilities/Duties:
• Thorough knowledge of various handbag constructions, seams, stitching, designs, materials, hardware, findings, attachments, closures, and silhouettes.
• Consistently review and evaluate project status with the product creation team and development head.
• Ability to plan and carry out the development of projects according to critical timelines and pre-planned dates.
• Use effective, direct and clear communication to carry out the product creation process from initial concept, through commercialization and production.
• Manage the sample making process.
• Trouble shoot, identify and resolve any potential pattern, function or costing issues during the sample making process.
• Initiate and monitor raw materials testing and work with suppliers and factories to ensure products meet set quality standards.
• Creation and maintenance of specification sheets.
• Working knowledge of patterns and pattern manipulation and their effects on yields and consumption.
• Working knowledge of costing, cost sheets, and pre-costing.
• Participate in meetings with the product creation teams during the entire development process. Execute the decision making process that will lead to on-time product confirmation and sales sample delivery.
• Business related travel.
• Ability to work in Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint.
Position Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree
• 4-6 years related experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Applications
• Ability to effectively prepare and present information and respond to questions from management, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving abilities
• Experience working effectively in complex global organizations, satisfying the needs of diverse constituents, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities.

Specifics between now and the end of December 09. that will be compensated with 100% Stock in the company.
1. Building Trading Cards and frames for a first release of a 63 card set Only 6 Frames Types are needed because they are broken into sub-sets
2. Pack Design, and Box Design for our first release
3. Support to our Marketing/Sales team to help them create some preliminary marketing materials, and Web up to 3 Web Frames for our IT Staff.
PRE- PRESS SKILLS for trading cards is a Huge Plus.
