SLO Book Club - Meets Monthly (SLO)

Hi! We are a book club that meets monthly in the coffee shop at Borders in San Luis Obispo. We meet on the second Sunday of the month at 5:30pm for usually about an hour. We take turns choosing our books so that each member gets an opportunity to contribute a selection. Currently there are just a few of us, so we would love to have some new members join us. Our next meeting will be Sunday, December 13th, and the book will be Olive Kitteridge by Elizabeth Strout. We will also be doing a Christmas book exchange, so if you plan to attend, please bring a book you don't mind parting with (it can be used, of course).

The North County Buddhist Sangha meets every Sunday Morning, 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.

The typical meeting starts with thirty minutes of meditation followed by sangha announcements and then tea. The last hour of our meetings is dedicated to discussion of classic Buddhism through the reading of books, presentations by sangha members, visiting teachers, and sharing personal feelings and experiences.

Hello, I've been out of the D&D scene for a while and I'd like to start playing again. Last thing I played was 3.5, but I'd really like to try 4th (but I don't have the books so I'd need to borrow them... at least for a little while). I'm in SLO through December so I'd like to find a group that meets once a week or so, so we can get a lot of good sessions in. Hi! I'm a 22-year-old Christian woman living in San Luis Obispo and I'm looking to connect with other Christian women around my age. I just recently moved to SLO and would love to find a group of peers who enjoy early-morning beaches and rejoicing in Jesus!

My husband and I have been attending Calvary Chapel SLO and are liking it, but I'm looking for something that I might get more out of on a personal level.
