Celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with fellow Central Coast families and moms-to-be during the Birth and Baby Fair on Saturday, May 10. The 12th annual event, which will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Mission Plaza in downtown San Luis Obispo, features dozens of booths, activities for all ages, entertainment, and food.
This year, local vendors will be selling handmade and specialty items; Central Coast organizations will distribute information about their services for birthing moms and new babies; children can play in the bounce house; and families can enjoy entertainment by local groups, including the Big Rock Balalaikas and Hear the Darlings Roar. The fair will also feature demonstrations by Performance Athletics and American Dance Studio.
Fairgoers can also bid on silent auction items—including a co-sleeper, breast pumps, and gift certificates to local stores—and enter to win a BOB stroller.
The Birth and Baby Resource Network organizes the annual fair as an opportunity for Central Coast residents to gain access to information regarding birth, newborns, and other parenting issues—all while having fun with local families.
