Victimized by Internet-scam!! Can you help?? (see scam info inside) (North-County)

Long-time resident, responsible parent and community member, scammed for $$$ on-line. My mortgage is due and I need $500, so reaching out. I've run an on-line business-service for four years. Scammed for $3,000!!! Here's how the scam works: client or individual will OVERPAY for service or goods--you receive a check, and it will clear your bank. Scammer will request partial funds transferred to a third-party. As a trusting and honest person (ha-ha), you try to comply---the check looks real with proper codes and numbers, but the issuing bank can't determine it's a counterfeit-item until it's too late, and your bank account is screwed. Funds are withdrawn from you, after you've transferred to the third-party (who of course are in cahoots with the scammer). Great scam, huh?? If anyone would like to help, please contact through the CL-system. Need $500 by Monday or Tuesday. Not a flake or stealing from you---will repay within a couple of weeks.
