Hello; The desk that you have is an oak roll top desk. There were two types of roll top desks manufactured. The desks are distinguished by the shape of the roll on the desk. There is an "S" roll in which the roll forms an "S" shape. Then there is a "C" roll desk. That is the type of roll top desk that you have. The roll is in the form of a"C". The desk is C. 1920's. These types of desk's where manufactured by several companies that dealt in office furniture. They were used in many offices from postal to railroad . Unfortunately the "C" roll desk was the less expensive desk . Even today the "C" roll desk is not as desirable as an "S" roll top desk. The desk is oak and is in fair condition. A fair market value is $ 575.00 A replacement value is $ 695.00
